Atlantic Estuarine Research Society

AERS is pleased to invite local High School students to attend our upcoming spring conference at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, March 21st-23rd, 2024.  Learn about cutting-edge research, network with professionals, and gain insights that could shape your future.

Thanks to generous donations to our student endowment, we've made the registration fee just $10, ensuring that this incredible opportunity is accessible to everyone. We understand the financial challenges students may face, and we want to eliminate those barriers that might prevent you from attending.

Whether you're already passionate about marine / estuarine science or just curious to learn more, this conference is your chance to connect with experts and your peers in a low-pressure environment. By providing this opportunity, we hope to inspire the next generation of marine and estuarine scientists!

Your $10 registration fee cover all conference activities except for the Friday night banquet, and the MAD career workshop.  Should you wish to attend either of those, tickets may be available at an additional cost.  You are welcome to attend all other events and presentations, or choose what is most interesting to you when the final program comes out.  Either way, we hope you will join us for a chance to be part of a community dedicated to exploring and preserving our most vital ecosystems
